 تنبهن أيتها الزوجات من ذوات الدخل المرتفع- إن الرجال المعتمدين مالياً على زوجاتهن أكثر عرضة للخيانة وفقاً لتقرير.
و كلما زاد الفارق بين الدخلين كلما زادت خيانة الرجل وفقاً للدراسة. لقد وجدت الدراسة أن الرجال الذين تعمل زوجاتهم طيلة فترات النهار أكثر عرضة بخمسة مرات للخيانة من أولئك الذين يجنون راتباً بنفس مستوى زوجاتهم.
ليس واضحاً السبب لكنه قد يكون عائداً إلى تأثر رجولتهم بزوجاتهم أو صديقاتهم بكونهن أكثر نجاحاً منهم- لذلك يجدون في الخيانة طريقة لتأكيد رجولتهم.
يقترح الخبراء أن الأزواج الباقين في المنزل يخونون، للتأكيد على رجولتهم لجني زوجاتهم رواتب أعلى.

و قد يجد بعض الأزواج الباقين في المنزل صعوبة في تحمل إغراء أمهات زملاء أطفالهم في المدرسة عند اللقاء بهن.
و يكشف بحث بريطاني جديد أن ما يقارب ثلث النساء يحصلن على ما يفوق مرتبات أزواجهن، و قد ترفع الدراسة من الشك بملايين المنازل.
بحث علماء النفس الاجتماعي في دراسة حديثة جداً الرواتب و العلاقات لمن تتراوح أعمارهم بين 18-28 سنة ممن يزيد عمر علاقتهم عن سنة. و كانوا جميعاً متزوجين أو مقيمين معاً.
 كما وجدت الدراسة أيضاً أنه يتوجب على النساء الحذر إذا ما زاد راتب شريكهن عن راتبهن بكثير.
قالت كريستين مونش، من جامعة كورنيل في نيويورك: "
قد تتأثر يوماً هوية جنس الرجال بكونهم المعيلين الرئيسيين بسبب جنيهم رواتب أقل من زوجاتهم.
" في النهاية قد تكون أعمال الرجال الذين يجنون أكثر من زوجاتهم بكثير توفر فرصاً أكبر للخيانة مثل ساعات أطول و سفر و أجور أعلى."
إن مفتاح ابتعاد الرجل عن الخيانة هو أن يكسب ما يزيد عن راتب زوجته بمقدار الثلث.
إلا أنه ينبغي على الرجال الذين يرغبون في الحفاظ على زوجاتهم أن يوفروا لهن ميزانية محدودة، وفقاً لمؤتمر علم النفس الأمريكي السنوي.

وجد ت الدراسة أن اللواتي يعتمدون مالياً على أزواجهن أو أصدقائهن أقل عرضة للخيانة من اللواتي يحصلن على ذات مستوى الدخل أو أكثر.
إن النساء اللواتي اعتمدن على شريكهن بشكل كامل كن أقل عرضة بنسبة خمسة و سبعين بالمائة لخيانتهم من أولئك اللواتي يتولين معظم نفقات المنزل.
و في الإجمال، وجد أن 3.8 بالمائة من الرجال يخونون زوجاتهم مقابل 1.4 من النساء.

Well-paid wives beware  -  men who are financially dependent on their other halves are more likely to be unfaithful, research shows.
And the greater the earning gap, the more likely the man is to cheat, the study suggests.
It found that house husbands whose wives work all day were five times more likely to have an affair than those who contribute an equal amount of money to the partnership.
It is unclear why but it may be that their male pride is wounded by their wife or live-in girlfriend being more successful than them  -  and having an affair is a way of reasserting their masculinity.

Some house husbands may find the temptation of being surrounded by 'yummy mummies' on school runs just too much to bear.
With recent British research revealing that nearly at third of women are earning more than their men, the finding could raise suspicion in millions of homes.
For the latest study, sociologists surveyed the salaries and relationships of a group of 18 to 28-year-olds who had been in the same relationships for more than a year. All the couples were married or living together.
The analysis also found that women should be on the alert when their partner earns far more than them.
Christin Munsch, of Cornell University in New York State, said: 'At one end of the spectrum, making less money than a female partner may threaten men's gender identity by calling into question the traditional notion of men as breadwinners.
'At the other end, men who make a lot more money than their partners may be in jobs that offer more opportunities for cheating like long work hours, travel and higher incomes that make it easier to conceal.'
The key to keeping a man faithful, it seems, is for him to earn a third more than his wife.
But men who want to keep their wife on the straight and narrow should keep her on a tight budget, the American Sociological Society's annual conference heard.
The survey found that those who were financially dependent on their husbands or boyfriends were less likely to cheat than those who earned as much or more.
Those women who relied on their partner for every penny were 75 per cent less likely to be unfaithful than those who contributed most or all of the household income.
In total, just 3.8 per cent of the men polled owned up to have cheated in any given year  -  and just 1.4 per cent of women.
